who are some fighters that had skill but just could not overcome their Glass Jaw in big fights?

I would argue a Prime Tommy Hearns only lost to Leonard & Hagler because his Glass Jaw simply failed him in those fights.

    Thoughts?

Terry Norris comes to mind, of course

Herbie Hide is an obvious call.

You could make an argument that Earnie Shavers' punch resistance problems hurt him at the highest level.

Hide is a good pick for sure. I would also add Tommy Morrison.

He also got ko'd against B level fighter Iran Barkley.

Jason Litzau comes to mind right now. Gamboa will be soon enough as well.

honestly i only saw this because he's my fav. fighter of all time only second to Sugar, but i agree completely if Tommy had the chin to match his everything else, he could of been the greatest fighter since Sugar, i dont think he had a glass jaw, but it wasn't very sturdy

and as far as todays fighters go, i'll throw in David Haye, if he had a chin to match his power and speed, he'd be a hell of a problem

Hearns & Norris are both HOFmers... so you cant say thier chins were much of a "fail".

Tommy Hearns chin didn't keep him out of the HoF but it did let him down at times.

The jaw fetish may be chronic.

The funny thing is that he tries to make it look like it is a different thread. But it is always the same. Its not even funny anymore.
    I say ban this guy.

He does it once a week + all the other glass jaw thread. SO yes, you missed it.
