Agree with you re Pele. Most Brazilians will tell you he isn't even the greatest Brazilian footballer. I work with a footie-mad Brazilian who reckons he isn't in the top 5.

He said it because the legendary in his own lunchbox Perry stated "at his best". Ali wasn't at his best for Frazier, Norton and Young.

Why would I be sarcastic about it? Was talking specifically about Pele. Talk to some Brazilians about him. They know their football - and it is not a minority view among them to think Pele overrated.

 

Yeah I agree about Lewis. He’s a good driver no doubt but like this year is proving, without the best car or one of the best cars he gonna find extremely hard to even winning a race never mind winning the championship

To spell it out completely he was saying if someone is going to question the greatness of Langford and Greb then nobody in any sport is safe.

He was/is right apparently.

The big thing i guess is that there is always going to be someone opining that a certain figure is overrated. I virtually cannot think of a boxer that hasn't had their standing questioned, or even more likely heavily criticised.

It was a touch hard to keep up with hence myself being a teeny bit worried i may have had it wrong.

 

Yeah he was being sarcastic but it kind of backfired with some of the choices cos some of them some people would say were overrated.
