jus wanted 2 see u guys views on which fighters u think done really well but could have done better with a better trainer

1st dude i can think of

    rj jr

the man had an amazing career, but from what i can see alton merkerson was absolute bull**** to him

everytime roy was in bother he knew nothing to help him
and half the time he would just tell roy, keep it up baby

other half he would tell roy something and roy would correct him

    any others
obviously norman stone needs 2 be mentioned

i think tarver may have done slightly better without mcgirt

Rick Hatton should be on the top of the list. I think all his trainer did for him was give him endurance to throw punches non stop for 12 rounds.

Hey he was a good guy though.

Pernell Whitaker and Lou Duva. I wouldn't call Lou Duva a **** trainer but he wasn't anywhere near as good a trainer as Pete was a fighter.

Joe Calzaghe, Floyd Mayweather, Zab Judah basically most fighters who were trained by a member of their family.

I know he's down right now but Kelly Pavlik did very well to win the middleweight title with a trainer who only seems to know the words "jab" "double" "the" and "****ing"

enzo calzaghe was a decent trainer, he took his son and 2 other not so great fighters to world titles.

billy graham is also a successful domestic level coach.

anyone who says floyd or calzaghe are ****ing idiots

roger and mayweather sr may be crackheads but they know their stuff and work well wiv floyd

only when they try and change a dudes style will they mess up, which 2 be fair is dumb, but no way floyd does better without them

    and enzo a bad trainer

what, only gym in the world ever to have 4 world champions at one time

and he wasnt taking these guys on half way through their careers when they were already world class aswell as bringing nathan cleverly a long way who is due a world title shot

Antonio Tarver. If you can succeed with Buddy 'pop the jab baby!' McGirt you're true talent.
