Sonny Liston. In the Ali rematch he took an early dive, and his chin only betrayed him in his next to last fight, when he was too old, grew tired and caught a perfectly timed blow. And he was a murderous puncher also.
Nigel Benn didn't have a very good chin. If he was hit flush by a fighter who could punch, it'd usually be the end of him.
#28, but I am likely one who underrates him. I know him and his style well, but I haven't studied him or his opposition aside from his top wins.
KG, in your opinion, do you think we see a lot of the hardest punchers being chinny because they tend to fall in love with thier power and throw the D out the window alot...therefore getting thier own chin checked more often than it should have been?
Both Marvin Hagler and Sugar Ray Leonard are good shouts. Leonard could really hit at Welterweight. Just ask Benitez, Hearns, and Davey Boy Green. Marvin didn't really look badly hurt despite taking flush hits from the Hitman at Middleweight. Not to sure about Roy though. He barely got hit flush in his prime, and the only times we've really seen him get hit, he's gone down like he's been shot. From what I've seen, Foreman and Tua have been the best shouts. Big George took murderous shots from Lyle and Holyfield pretty good. Tua, took bombs from Lewis and never really look troubled, but could really hit himself.
As a Big Pavlik fan, that tries to be objective (to a point ), that guy is really becoming a pain in the ass! The whole first part of his post you quoted in bold, I believe that cat has that copied so he can paste it, because he's posted that **** word for word countless times now. The Pavlik faithful on here do NOT approve of his posts.:deal We will have no idea of Pavlik's true stance for atleast 4-5 years providing he takes on the very good competition along the way.
Perhaps. But in all honesty, seems to vary from fighter to fighter. Like Julian Jackson probably got a bit careless sometimes. But he also got stopped in his prime by some pretty murderous punchers. Hard to tell really.
