You know why they used to call him "Mo'' Harris? Because when he would roll up in the clubs, all the ladies in the house that was into gettin' rubbed would yell for mo and mo and mo Harris.

Russ, I recently watched Limon-Rose and was amazed at how sharp and accurate Rose's counters were so late in his career. Of course, with a banger like Limon and with Rose's soft chin, there was only one way this fight was going to go. But again, Rose's counters were something and if he didn't have that Achilles heel, this could have evolved into some kind of fight.

Do you think a prime Rose would of been able to play keepaway with Limon for 15 or is Limon simply the much bigger man?

I have a hard time deciding what Rose's best weight classes would of been. He certainly wasn't able to make banatam anymore, and his weight just kept climbing, and climbing...

IMO, after the Olivares, Rose was just getting by on natural talent because after the beating Olivares inflicted, Lionel's jaw was gone. And mind you, it was never too sturdy to begin with, having been dropped in winning fights with Takao Sakurai, Chucho Castillo, Jose Medel and Ernie Cruz. But to answer your question, Rose probably topped out at 126. At jr. lightweight though, he was never going to beat Limon.
