Which fighters had the worst won-lost records in world title fights?

Yaqui Lopez was 0-5 in title fights in the late 70s and early 80s. Also, American Olympian Rocky Juarez went 0-4-1 and had the misfortune of coming along at the same time as ATGs Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez and Chris John.

Others who were 0-5 in world title fights:
    Santos Cardona
    Mitsunuri Seki

Two more who challenged 5 times for a world title, without ever winning one:
    Leonel Hernandez 0-4-1
    Victor Polo 0-4-1

Jersey Joe Walcott went 2-6 in world title fights and Manuel Medina - who I thought had a worse record - but was actually 10-11 in title fights.

Jameel mccline went 0 for 4 losing to klitscho wbo, byrd ibf, peter wbc and valuev wba. Maybe the only fighter to lose a title fight for each sanctioning org

I'm pretty sure Tony Canzoneri lost 9 title fights.

It’s not a very good won-lost record in world title fights.

I think Golota had 4 attempts at winning the title and didn’t win any

I thought he beat Byrd and Ruiz. Lewis and Brewster just blasted him away.
