John Ruiz, BUT did go on to be first Latino Heavyweight Champion!, Vito Antuofermo "It ain't pretty, but it gets the job done!", Butterbean
Through fraud and corruption. Without King, Ruiz would have been lucky to win a regional belt. Oh, and he wasn't a true "champion," even with King's machinations - just a paper titleholder, and one of the worst of all time at that.
Pacquiao has a lot more skill and craft than Khan. Although Pacquiao does throw a lot of flurries as opposed to a well schooled combo like say, JMM, he doesn't simply throw meaningless combos. An example of this is against Cotto (I think the 4th round) when he slid of the ropes, threw a right hand, then a looping left hand around Cotto's guard, then a left uppercut through the guard. Unusual but well placed shots. Or when he'll throw flurries upstairs and then mix in a punishing right hook down to the body. Khan on the other hand, fights like a ****** on roller skates.

There's a difference between ugly and boring Vitali fights awkward you could call it ugly but he isn't boring. Wlad has textbook technique and is still boring there's a difference
