His heart got him back up. His chin failed against Foreman's power. Still, Foreman had huge power and Frazier showed a good chin in many other fights.

Fighters with rock chins, like LaPorte, don't go down in the first place.

Well obviously his chin kept him conscious throughout, a lot of fighters would have been put to sleep with those bombs landing on the chin.

Cornelius Boza-Edwards had a good defense when he fought at close range. He had a tendency to get caught with right hands from long range and some assumed he had a bad overall defense. It was simply not the case. I cringed when Ferdie Pacheco often said "Boza has no defense."

that's true. He didn't go to sleep. He certainly did not have a glass chin. Foreman was really the only guy to put him on ***** street.

Using that criteria, Floyd Patterson had the strongest chin in HW history.
    I don't think so.
Why did Frazier have to get up?
Because Foreman decked him 8 times in 2 fights.

Some of the picks in this thread are head scratcher's. Underrated to me means very good, but seldom praised.

Kenny Norton's body punching to me is under rated.

Not really because Patterson didn't beat the count in either fight....

Patterson failed to beat the count only once, he was still on one knee in the 2nd Liston fight.
He was knocked down 23 times during his HW reign, got up 22 times.

Of course Patterson had a glass chin. But if you base a strong chin on how many times a fighter gets up, he had the best.

He failed to beat the count on both occasions I'll think you find.

Even so, that's 23 knockdowns and getting up 21 times.
I don't think that's the way to measure the strength of a chin.
Frazier had a lot of attributes. He was dogged, aggressive and determined. He was able to take a lot of punishment and keep coming.
he didn't have an iron chin- IMO.

Duran's defense - many think of him as only a slugger

    Benitez power (Maurice Hope)

(As an aside, it's hard to believe Benitez won his first belt while in high school.)

Gatti - Boxing Ability in flashes (Belive it or Not !) when he chose to use his Jab and Move he was quite good...But ring his Bell and of course he went to war.

Bad Bennie Briscoe - The Left Jab, an Aggressive fighter, a Left Hooker... But he came in behind that Jolting Jab

I was just about to mention Duran before you said that.
