Corrales was a terrific infighter and I think his hand speed was overlooked. I remember a list on the general forum talking about slowest hand speed of world champions and someone actually mentioned Corrales, which is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. He had slow feet but quick hands, particularly when it came to throwing fast fluid combos on the inside.
Exactly. Chico's whole game was to intiate an exchange and come over the top of the opponents combination. He had great hooks and did flurry well on the inside with them. He often doubled up the left hook upstairs and was decently quick with it.
Whitaker - power (hit hard enough to get every opponent's respect) Trinidad - chin (as vulnerable as he was to flash knockdowns, he has only one accumulation 12th round stoppage loss on his record) Steve Collins - boxing ability (when he wasn't in windmill mode, he could move and counter very effectively. Often overlooked due to the number of exceptional boxers he faced, and his strategy against them)
Just thought of one. Young Foremans ability to cut off the ring. Very, very overlooked. It was masterful.
