So today I see @scartissue score Khan vs Maidana, and I always found it quite amazing. How Amir Khan is known to have one of the weakest chins, in recent memory for a world champion.

Yet in this fight he took plenty of hard shots, off a good puncher like Maidana without going down.

Can you think of any other instances where this has happened ?

Lewis took a few (albeit very few) decent shots from Tua.

Ortiz took huge rights from Wilder in their 1st fight. Can be put down, but does have a huge heart, always gets up(except for that uppercut)

Lennox Lewis took big shots from Shannon Briggs, Vitali Klitschko and Ray Mercer.

Tommy Morrison took George Foreman's punches pretty well.

Have you guys heard of Bernardo Mercado? It seems in film looks like he had a suspect chin but somehow he was able to wether every assault from arguably the hardest puncher in HW history. Even survived the picture perfect right hand at the 2nd round.

There's this guy named Harold Carter who was knocked out 9/10 times in his loses. Somehow, he went 10 grueling rounds with Bob Satterfield according to boxrec in their 1st meeting.

Joshua looks like a chinny fighter, but the fact he got up from Wlad's murderous straight right hand is beyond description.

Shavers took some of the best shots from Lyle before ultimately getting knocked out. Hey, it may not fit the description.. but I find it still very impressive considering Shavers was knocked out mostly by his gas tank, but not Lyle's punching power.

Explosive punching Eugene Cyclone Hart was never known for his chin but he once went 10 brutal rounds with Briscoe.

For someone with a weak chin he doesn't half seem to have taken big shots from a lot of big hitters.

Lewis' weak chin has to be one of the biggest myths in boxing. It was fine. If it wasn't, his management were the bravest people in the game, the amount of heavy sluggers they kept matching him with.

Weaver against Coetzee comes to mind. Still surprised he was able to eat that big right hand. If he wobbles or goes down, fight is likely waved off in Gerrie's backyard.
