There's nothing quite as satisfying as predicting an up-and-coming fighter would go on to be great, and being proven right. How good is your eye for talent? What fighters did you predict would go on to be great, and did?
Naoya Inoue. First fight I saw of his was the Adrien Hernandez fight. The brutal power punching combos, subtle defensive moves, and crazy ring IQ for a 6-0 fighter. Then he proved beyond a shadow of doubt for me when he destroyed Omar Narvaez in 2 rounds.
Not sure Have we had any great fighters to establish themselves in the last 10 years excluding Fury? Usyk? I can spot the frauds from a mile away though. Broner..AJ.
After watching Bivol fight Richards I believed he would be a p4p great although most people also believed that at the time.
Mayweather, Canelo, Erroll Spence Jr, Don Curry, Chris Byrd, James Toney, Super Joe Calzaghe, Andre Ward, AJ to name a few.
Miguel Cotto. I knew he was going to go on to be something big, he had the talent, and raw dawg in him. Top 3 best puerto rican fighters of all time.
I remember seing Floyds debut on Friday Night Fights. You just Knew he was going to be great, he had it all.
