Im not sold on Wladimir Klitscho. I know hes beaten everyone in his path the last 3 years but I still have my doubts, his chin mostly.
I am not sold on him at all....and his power is really being overrated. He is open to straight rights all night long and has very little side to side movement. Dawson is going to pick him apart. When I first heard about him, they made it sound like this guy hit like Hearns or something. This is mostly based on his destruction of Hoye, who was stopped by Woods for godsakes, not a KO puncher by any means.
Not to the level of Taylor and yourself, but I really dislike his style, showboating, and running. I don't know if you have ever seen his brother Anthony fight, but he is very fast as well, but sits down on his punches and throws every punch with bad intentions. Too bad he is having serious health problems though.
Who would you favor over him right now. In order for a guy to fit this category you have to be able to name guys in his weight class that you would bet on to beat him. I picked valero and I think that MAB, Manny, Guzman, JMM and Soto would all beat him and do it by wide margins or KO
A. Berto JCC JR. Gomez (he's gettin some hype after beating Gatti) J. Kirkland Eddie Chambers Chris Areolla "king pin" johnson
With the exception of JCC Jr and A Berto I don't think anyone is really hyping any of those other guys very much anyway
One fighter, to go against the subject, I don't think gets enough praise from posters is Humberto Sotto. That guy has yet to fail to impress me. High Tech Concrete.
Amir Khan - He was a great amateur, possesses blinding speed, and has shown heart in his last fight, but I have a feeling he will suffer the same fate as Jason Litzau.
Paul Malignaggi, Im not sold yet. Paul gets a pass because he has a big mouth, I believe race is a factor aswell.
I think Peter could beat Wlad now, if you watch him in the 2nd fight with Toney he learned not to smother his punches and to take a step back and then throw. I really believe Wlad is extremely beatable as long as you bring the fight to him, which no one has since Peter in 05 knocking him down 3 times and really only losing because of inexperience. I also give Chagaev and Mccall a chance also.
I hear ya Rey, but did you see him on FNF last week, they were treating him as some boxing royalty IMO.
