Fighters you are not sold on yet

I'm not sold on Berto at all and Cintron I still think his chin hasn't been tested. He took Matthysse out before he could put a big shot on him.

 

Peter fought a smart fight the second time around against Toney. He boxed from the outside, used his jab, and stayed far way from Toney when he would lie on the ropes to avoid the counters. But against Wlad, he would have to employ a different gameplan. Peter would have to come in lighter so he would be faster and have more stamina, be able to slip punches and work his way inside, work the body, and try to rough Wlad up. I believe he would fight differently against Wlad the 2nd time around than he did with Toney the 2nd time around. However, I don't think he would win.

 

Im picking Berto too, though everyone seems to have come to my side of thinking after the Rivera fight.

A LOT of people were willing to accept this guy was the next big thing in the division, I saw what they saw but something had me sceptical. I was sorta right but the kid is still a very good fighter and will continue to improve.
I dont think his chin is terrible, I think Cotto's is probably equally as shakable but look how far he has come and will continue to go.

 

What did I say? The guy fights like a ****i'n crab swinging wide punches left and right. :yep

 

We need to stop calling championship level fighters "bums."

Thats one thing i mentioned, if Peter tries to box like he did against Toney hes not that powerfull. When hes throwing bhaymakers hes more powerfull than anyone else though. he still has to bring it all together and improve his punching technique.

 

Peter had monster power in that fight...he knocked JT down with a damned jab and stopped James Toney in his tracks and hurt him a few times with A JAB. You guys have very short memories..Thats all they were talking about after the fight was the power in his jab.

Of the Brits I'd say Carl Froch. He just seems to be sloppy to me and I get the feeling he'll get outboxed the first time he fights somebody world class.

More so than Amir Khan who, though he has got a suspect chin, is still learning and does have the speed and the skills.

 

Joan Guzman. I think something is still missing on this guy.

 

Dunno, but am just not too sold out on JM Marquez.
