Fighters you can never root against ? ...who are they ?

    I'm not talking about fighters you like the most....it's not even about being a fan...

    Just fighters you respect or can't stand to see get beaten...

    Maybe it can be the type who'll seem genuine , nice during his interviews.. Maybe you don't necessarily like his style but you respect the person.

    There's a bunch i can think of...

    Rashad comes to mind. I never understood why so many people hated this guy's guts but whether it's just a facade or not...he seems like a role model for the sport. Kinda like Couture...He knows what he's talking about , he did a tremendous job on TUF (the total opposite of Jackson) , he comes off as smart & serious in his interviews...


    I'm not necessarily a huge fan of his...But at the same time...i'd rather see him win than lose.

    Barnett (can also be a **** talker but not as annoying as Mir & certainly smarter , and more eloquent.)

    I can never root agianst my favorites like Couture, Shogun, Serra, Renzo, Pulver, Franklin and some others but guys im not a REAL big fan of but always seem to pull for our Wanderlei, Cro Cop, Nogueira, Joe Stevenson, Ben Henderson (the guy seems so damn nice), Lytle, Fedor among others.

    GSP - the guy is classy win or lose. very serious and focused with his craft...

    Clay Guida - goes all-out on every single fight, doesn't give a **** if he gets bloody and all.

    Cotoure - no explanation needed

    Chuck Liddell - my all-time fave mma fighter

    Im probably alone but I find Guida more annoying then anything. The guy puts on good fights but its usually when hes losing when he wins its burry the head in the chest, stall, squeeze, light GNP then repeat. All that bouncing up and down makes me nervous if this guy was working with me or something id probably wind up stabbing him. WTF is up with that burping thing between rounds ?

    I absolutely cannot stand Guida. I think he's a ****ing pig. All that burbing and jumping up and down like some chimp on PCP just does my head in. The dude has a .500 record and yet he's still in the UFC. Why? Because the muppet sells tickets. Nothings better though than watching him take a good beatdown.
