For me, #1 is definitely Pacquiao, because of his cult like fan base. Imagine giving a fighter and his family death threats just because they beat your guy (Bradley). Imagine having your mom show up shouting voodoo curses at your opponent. Imagine being butthurt and dismissing a legendary KO win as a "lucky punch" even though it landed earlier and was clearly a brilliant counter (Marquez). Imagine being part of the biggest fight of the decade and, after being completely outboxed, you claim your opponent "did nothing", then claim you had a major injury but failed to disclose it, then claim God healed your shoulder, and a bunch of other nonsense instead of just taking your L like a man (Mayweather).

It's a very noticeable and consistent pattern where both Pacquiao and his fanboys are unable to give any opponents any credit. It's not just the extreme fans either, they're like an ant colony all repeating the same talking points whilst insulting anyone who disagrees. Pac himself is no saint and it makes being a fan of his very difficult. It didn't help that the media and pundits such as Jim Lampley verbally sucked him off every 5 seconds.

#2 is probably Tyson Fury. It's amazing how much mileage a fan base gets out of a boring game of tag with a 40 year old man and a trilogy with a mindless puncher who has a paper thin resume. Fury doesn't even have enough common sense to try and be subtle with how he brainwashes his fans the way Pacquiao, LeBron, etc do, he goes on camera telling the drones exactly what to believe like he's giving a sermon. Also unlike Pacquiao (who at least has a stellar hall of Fame worthy career fighting so many of the best fighters), Fury has squandered his talent and fought very few elite opponents.

Retiring right after winning the title is unforgivable, I don't buy his mental health nonsense which didn't get brought up until years later when he wanted to regain relevance and have a cool sports movie comeback story. He simply did what a lot of young champions do and got on drugs/alcohol/gorging on food because he reached the mountaintop and didn't have the discipline and class to respect the championship. Wasting the fans time refusing to rematch Wilder when he was legally bound to was unforgivable. Lying about catching COVID and being caught at a casino was unforgivable. Fighting a C level plodder like Chisora 3x when he had so many better options such as Parker, Ruiz, Joshua, etc was unforgivable. And the most recent offense was delaying the Usyk fight not once, but twice. It is mind boggling this guy hasn't had his title stripped, and it's also funny how all the PED allegations and crime affiliations just keep getting swept under the rug. He's a dirty fighter, a terrible champion, and a con artist degenerate whose taking advantage of his fan base who are full of similarly degenerate and/or slow individuals or trolls who know what the deal is but play along anyways. I do not care who wins between him and Usyk, but I cannot wait for him to just go away.

There's a few others who could make a top 10 list such as Tank Davis, Mike Tyson, Duran, Rocky Marciano, etc, but the difference is the fighters themselves aren't nearly as bad as their fans. They also have more than a handful of reasonable fans who don't claim they can walk on water. The difference is, Pac and Fury actively contribute to the toxic nonsense and are well aware of what they're doing. Canelo is another one and probably #3, he could get his own thread. The funny thing about Canelo is his fans seem to be the minority in hardcore boxing forums/sites/etc, he has a firm grasp on the casual market so you rarely see them coming out in droves making ridiculous claims.

I think Manny fans call Floyd Mayweather as gayweather jr. But what if Floyd fans called Manny bakla man Pacquiao? It's fair game right? No double standards, you can dish it out if you can take it back lol. I do not hate any fighter because of their fanbase, I'm just bringing up the fact that insults are fine, it's part of the game.

Bruhh just check any Devin Haney channel and you would see some asinine sh*t. Ahki TV, Dontae Boxing Nation, BlueBloodSports, and etc. There type of content is literally hating on any fighter that's not black or more accurately not named Devin Haney. And most recently there content is hate on Teofimo, Shakur, and Tank cuz they pose a threat to Devin Haney smh.

Mfs already parading Devin Haney as the new Floyd lol

Pac had the worst fan base ever. Remember the “lucky punch” crew?

It's clearly GGG's fanbase by far. I thought Pacs fanbase was rabid and delusional, these guys take it to a whole extreme. Can you guys still believe they're crying about those Canelo fights half a decade later, it's like come on. I've seen 272727298372 worse robberies in the sport of boxing, stop bitching.

These guys were saying he was knocking out Heavyweights in sparring. every excuse in the world not to fight Andre Ward but shot versions of Martinez, Sturm and Cotto? Those were fights that had to be made and that GGG deserved to win so we're adding it to his resume anyway. :nut: since his resume stinks they add amateur accomplishments and those Canelo fights as well, then count secondary belts to claim he had the most title defenses in MW history. Close fights only matter in his favor so Dervy and Jacobs fights don't count. :qmeparto:

Lol, I think we’ve got a sufficient sampling to extrapolate and to perhaps suggest that there are contingents to most fan bases that are all as bad as each other.

I don’t actually dislike the fighter but I would troll the Klit-lickers and Khan fanboys just because they would say so many ridiculous things.

“Vitali’s cut was barely a scratch!”

“Khan is the complete package outside of his chin”

Can’t forget about those JMM fans (some might be Floyd fans in disguise lol) that act like he dominated and outclassed pacquiao 4 times.

I mean "dominated" is a bit strong of a word but you could certainly make reasonable scorecards for him winning all 4.
