Fighters you disliked and then changed your opinion of and end up liking?

I used to hate him and Holyfield for dirty play but then after I saw Hopkins/Trinidad and warmed up to him I started to just accept that fighters do what they have to in order to win so the rest is history. I like Mayweather but am not delusional so I understand what you mean about fans.

 

:good I do admit that Marco was sometimes dirty in his career but there's a few instances where people unfairly criticize him. When he hit Morales at the press conference ahead of their second meeting, Morales was talking **** in the media about Marco and called him a derogatory name in front of his face. What was Marco supposed to do? "Thanks mate, have a good fight". Marco don't play that, you'll get what's coming to you.

For me it's the MAGIC MAN.. None other then Paulie Malignaggi....At first I thought he wa a loud mouth ***** before and after the Cotto fight. I thoroughly enjoyed the ass whoopin Cotto put on him, but I have to admit....That night he earned my respect. He speaks his mind and knows what he is inside and out of the ring. The man knows his limitations as a fighter and admits it. I can't hate on that honestly.

 

:good Paulie speaks what he perceives to be the truth. He's solid all the way through.

 

I didn't think he was the real deal, in fact I was overjoyed when it looked like Mitchell was going to take him out. Then he outclassed Lacy, and proved he was a world class fighter and not a pretender :good

 

Hopkins to some extent.

 

Mayweather after the Hatton fight, Hatton was my favourite fighter and I hated Mayweather in the build up. Showed nothing but class from the post fight interview onwards in regards to the British fight fans.
