Fighters you have warmed to, and why......

Ive warmed to Froch, infact I kinda like his cheeky personality now, where as before I was like, argh!, how deluded is this ****? now I just think he is hilarious, and when all said and done, kid can fight, albeit not box

I have warmed to Pavlik to, have always thought he was somewhat limited, but he has grown on me, irrespective of the losses.

Fighters who I have not warmed to, Berto, too much of a diva, not faced enough quality opposition, Cabballero, gets too much notoriety for what he can actually do in the ring imo.

    Yours?

Amir "Bankroll" Khan. I used to think of him as emmanuel's little sidekick.

Victor Ortiz, I thought he got a lot of unwarrented hate off the back of the Maidana loss. Juanma Lopez as well, I've always liked him but he's really grown on me an awful lot lately, I didnt even realise that I was shouting at the screen at like 3 in the morning when he was fighting Marquez!

I wont say ive warmed to him, but I do respect the way he regrouped and came back from his losses, particularly as it seemed to toughen him up mentally, made his resolve stronger. I remember Khan saying in an interview " im gonna be a world champ, im gonna prove to people that im a good fighter" but he did not say it in a cocky way, he said it like he was a man on a mission.

That said, I dont think I will respect him fully until he beats Maidana, then faces an Alexander/Bradley, then I will think he is for real, cause whilst he regrouped, his competition was not that stellar when you look behind the names.

B-Hop and Floyd. I used to think they were both cocky and boring fighters who were overrated. Now I've come to appreciate how truly brilliant both of them are in the ring and that they only put out all the **** outside the ring for promotional purposes.

He has the tools to, just need to establish whether he is savvy enough to use them, although it is a fight I'd love to see for that very reason, he has the potential to cause Floyd a few problems if he fights the right fight.

if they fought now, khan would beat floyd.

btw , floyd would never fight khan in a millon years. floyd is too old and only interested in easy pickings.

Unfortunately I think Big Left is right, only way I could see it happening, is if Mayweather does not view Khan as potentially as dangerous as what we do, cause lets face it, if it were purely about making money, he would be fighting Pac right now.

    Holyfield and Lennox
Always felt that they made their names of a washed up Tyson. Hated Holyfield for his my god is the true god adn yours isnt interview he gave.

Recently began to respect them both as ATGS, Holyfield was a confident warrior who always came to fight and Lennox, the guy ihas so much boxing brain. Just look at the different types of opponents he fought and the different gameplans he uses for each fight. Brilliant. Obviously he did get lazy a few times.

Why has this turned into a Flody Mayweather thread?

In reference to the thread title, 2 fighters who have totally put me off. Calzaghe and Haye

You do realize Holyfield had been in numerous wars with Alex Stewart, Michael Dokes, Riddick Bowe 3x, Henry Tillman, Bert Cooper, Qawi, Ray Mercer, and that he was a 34 year old fighter who was considered done after getting comprehensively beaten by Moorer, and knocked out by Bowe, which is why some Sky pundits picked Tyson to KO him in 2? if anyone had a legitimate claim to being washed up, it was Evander, but when all said and done, he was a better fighter, which is why he still won.
