Yeah I've pretty much the same attitude about Barrera. I think he's an all atg but there's just something immensely unlikeable about him.

True bout Eubank-not only was he a warrior but he appears to be a top bloke outside the ring. The Louis Theroux episode on him really endeared him to me.

Louis Theroux, probably the best dude in documentary in my opinion, did a special show for Eubank and his family. It should be on youtube.

Fighters I've never taken a shine too? Until recently, Duran. Never understood why he was so aesthetically pleasing for a lot of people - but now I get it. I still don't see the fascination with Manny Pacquiao. Sure, he beat my favorite fighter, but he's never looked graceful in the ring to me - not even against the deadpan Oscar De La Hoya.

Bill, you're just pissed that Marco looked beautiful in the ring - and Morales looked clumsy. :good

Watched it a couple of months back on sky-can't remember what channel it was on. Louis spent a week or so with Chris. It was interesting to hear him speak without feeling he had to put on a show for the cameras. As far as I remember there was little if any boxing footage or talk for that matter. It focused more on Eubank as an eccentric. He just came across as a slightly odd character yet still a very likeable guy. If you want to hear about his fights etc it might be a little mundane but I found it an interesting character study. For that alone I think it's worth checking out.

I defo wouldnt call Marco clumsey but Morales was better to watch, much better balance & more versatile.

Tunney is a rags to richs and KEEP his money story.

Tunney was pretty smart, but he STILL GROW UP in the slums of New York, boxing got him out of that.

Like him or not, but saying he is not a rags to richs story is wrong.

Once he made it, sure he didnt look back, IE hanging out with the elite. But he still grow up poor.

And the funny thing is, When he was an up & coming fighter. Tyson used to profess that he was a student of the game. And that he studied great boxers from the past & thier shortcoming. & in the end his mistakes were the most glaring of All.

Pacquiao was graceful in the David Diaz fight. Smooth as silk, lovely combinations, excellent movement. OK it was only Diaz, but great fighters turn it on against the second string. My favourite Floyd Mayweather performance is Philip N'Dou, my favourite Pernell Whitaker performance is Greg Haugen. Sometimes you can set aside considerations about comp just to marvel at a genius at work. Pac-Diaz falls into that category I think, Pac was truly sublime. Can you rule out ever changing your attitude towards Pacquiao the way you have (judging by your Moore & Barkley threads) towards Duran?

I agree. Tyson was superb in this period.
