Call me crazy (or call him crazy) but I'll nominate Charlie Zelenoff. I wonder what the great man is up to these days.
Tito Trinidad Juan Manuel Marquez Rafael Marquez Israel Vazquez Lots actually, but those are the standouts.
"Kind of" miss? Marvelous Marvin Hagler. He'd post "These are my judges" on social cancer...errr media that is. Then he'd back it up. Would be grateful for somebody to give me the accurate quote.
Among the lesser lights, I miss Kenny "Bang Bang" Bogner and Sucre Ray Oliveira. Among champions I miss Johnny Tapia, Jhonny Gonzalez and Jorge Arce. It didn't matter who they were fighting or what they were fighting for, those guys always put on an enjoyable fight.
As Ed Derian (pretty sure it was him) used to introduce him: Great Scott Super Scott … JAMES SCOTT!!!
Nigel and Lennox the most, as they were the two that got loads of mates out for a good beer session, the Lennox ones in particular, as it always meant watching at one of our houses until 6.00ish- or sometimes a stay behind at this bar one of the lads uncle's had. Great times.
I like Canelo Alvarez but I think he won a very tight decision against Danny Jacobs who I had winning by a round or two but I can understand why they gave it to Alvarez because Jacobs started very slow for the first five rounds.
Yeah, I have to add Tyson to mine…was I a fan? Well, I rooted against him every time out, but I definitely miss not having him around.
Muhammad Ali, Carlos Monzon, Salvador Sanchez, John Conteh, Victor Galindez, Matthew Saad Muhammad, Bob Foster, Jose Mantequilla Napoles, and Carlos Palomino. Ya know I can see them on You Tube if I get too lonely. Ha Ha.
