Name the guys you whose careers went down the toilet, but you thought would be surefire hall of famers or on their way by now.

Mine are Kelly Pavlik, and Juan Manuel Lopez

Lopez is a good shout. Excellent fighter, not enough exposure on the big stage.

Huge in physical size but not a very good fighter. Sprott would have him.

And prizefighter doesn't count. 3 rounds is too short.

Maybe no hall of fame, but a huge box office draw... Vic Ortiz

Oh how Chad Dawson has fallen from entering the Pascal fight, or even entering the Ward fight.

He's still got more of a claim to the HOF than all but perhaps ten active fighters alive right now... But I thought he would continue to add to his credentials.

I thought Dominik Britsch was going to be the next Sven Ottke. How could he fail with that hair cut?
His corner men used more grease more for his hair than his face.

I'm sure Andy Lee had a lot of hype at one point too, and maybe Rey Bautista

I believed in none of the following, but these HW's had gotten some massive hype before defeat or inactivity, or both, took the best of them:

    Odlanier Solis
    Robert Helenius
    David Price
    Seth Mitchell

Kirkland, juanma, Gamboa, Pavlik, jermain taylor, Jacobs-pirog and his illness really derailed what looked like a great fighter, glad he pulled through. Cloud, Vivian Harris(yes he was good once upon a time lol) dies Fernando Vargas count?

I thought Dirrel would surprise everyone and win the super six.

I fell for the Price hype and while I saw the flaws I ignored them, believing his power would overcome his shortcomings.

I thought Junior Witter would go on to be a dominant champion after he beat N'dou. Always thought he was better than Hatton.
