I might be a naive boxing fan. I try not to think about that stuff until a fighter fails a test. :conf
How many fighters have failed tests? Boxing tests are a joke! Very hard to fail unless you are really stupid. Very few fighters have proper tests carried out on them. Literally only a handful.
I'm just being realistic. I think the whole "sport" is so riddled with PEDs that the level playing field argument must ultimately get the upper hand even over fighters who would very much like to stay clean. Given that there are virtually no penalties for cheating (since almost no one is getting caught) and that the rewards are huge, especially for 10-20 fighters who can literally earn a million+/fight if they get a good streak going, you can see why a lot would cheat.
Froch Lewis Froch because he was a relative nobody but kept calling out Calzaghe. Lewis because I was introduced to boxing by a pre-prime Tyson. I thought that was how every boxer should fight, but I was young and it took me a while to appreciate the finer points of boxing.
dislike to like: Ward, Garcia (mikey), Hatton, Pavlik, MMH, Hearns, Duran, Liston, neutral to dislike: Joe Cal, Vittles Like to dislike: none i can think of
Definitely Brandon rios. I hated his "act" but now I realize he's just borderline ******ed and that's ok in my book.
I'm neutral on Pac. I was a huge pacturd back then though, even picked him against Barrera, Marquez and Morales. But the way he let Arum puppeteer his ass for so long and play the ****** routine, was just too much for me to bear.
I was never a big fan of Marquez, always thought he was boring. But after the Sleepquiao fight I went back and reviewed his career and realized his greatness.
