Guys who are appealing inside of the ring, but are unable to get on your list of favorites for whatever reason.

I really like the way that Trevor Berbick fought, he was almost always an exciting fighter, and the match with Page is damn legendary in my book, but I can't look past the fact that he's a ******, as well as a bad person in general. The ill talking of Holmes' wife, his childish attitude when facing Nobuhiko Takada and claiming that they "changed the rules of their match", the crying over Holmes in the parking lot before... Well, you know what happened. Berbick was a total nutcase at the end of the day, but not one I can look past.

    Bazooka Gomez.

Brilliant fighter with a devastating punching power and an exciting style, but so damn dirty inside the ring.

Mayweather Jnr. I appreciated his skills and really wanted to be a fan. But he was just so obnoxious personality -wise - and frustrating to follow sometimes, in terms of picking and choosing opponents, despite his skill level

For some “rare” dislikes - I always wanted to like Marvin Hagler but his way of fighting wasn’t enjoyable to me as was Hearns. I know who they are, they have my respect they’re excellent but not enjoyable, I prefer Leonard and Duran a LOT more.

I wanted to love Rocky Marciano by never did as of his kind of arguable resume, same to Mayweather with his personality too.

I think Humberto Gonzalez was good but I don't truly like him from his inconsistency and overall less enjoyable fights like Carbajal.

I want to like Yoko Gushiken but ended up only watching one footage of him as he's a damn slow starter when it comes to fights,I'll still watch him later tho probably.

I was quite impressed by Shakur Stevenson after the Herring and Valdez fights but since then my opinion of him has decreased massively, he is so boring to watch, and has flaws in him that awaits a loss against someone stylistically bad for him and I have a feeling Schofeld will beat him this Saturday and I hope he does.

I thought Jared Anderson got a little too much criticism for the Charles Martin fight, and I thought too many people wrote off his chances against Bakole. I defo got disproven there!

Juan Manuel Marquez. He was a great fighter and showed heart, but he always cried robbery in his biggest fights and never could give credit when he lost.

I feel the same. Not so much on the picking and choosing of opponents as they man still has a deep resume despite steering around certain guys. But I agree that his public personality was terrible. Still I rate him highly for his skill and his achievements.

As much as how Duran gave excuses for his fights and such, Marquez may be a bit worse, dude struggled to land a significant counter vs John for most of the round and cried robbery.

this. I tried to like him, but I can’t stand that staring down your nose affected machismo bull****. Dirty, dirty fighter too, as you mention. I loved when Nelson handed him his head and was outraged by the hometown cooking against Lockridge.

I respect his obvious courage and ability to, but couldn’t root for him.

I think that Hagler kinda lost the mental pedestal I had for him, though it took some time to happen. He's obviously an ATG with a great resume and would be a hard matchup for MW ever, I'd even say that he's in contention for the best there ever was in his weight class, but I think that the excuses made for him and his unexciting, mechanical style is not something I can really enjoy watching all that much of. "Oh look, he knocked out Caveman Lee in just over a minute!" Yeah... What did you expect to happen? Watts won fairly, from reports- Monroe won fairly, the draw with Antuofermo was FINE, and the loss to Ray was right, too! For who's supposed to be the "hard working man" out of the Four Horsemen, he sure didn't take losses or even draws on the chin. "I thought that to take a guy's title, you'd have to knock him out" oh shut up... I've grown to really appreciate Leonard over time, and I've always been big fans of Duran and Tommy- I think that Hearns is likely the one to get the fairest assessment out of all of em.

I agree. I was just looking at footage of the Anderson - Martin fight last night, and for someone who was supposed to be the best up and comer at heavyweight, a southpaw technician with a good punch, he was very technically flawed... He kind of reminds me of Renaldo Snipes, if you took his chin and gave him slightly better offense. He's very focused, and he tries hard, I definitely can't hate him, but Jared needs to up his game if he wants to go anywhere with his career.

Yup... Mayweather Jr. turned off what's likely an entire generation of boxing fans from watching his era and the fantastic fighters from then. Insanely unlikeable person.

Donaire and Shane Mosley delievered plenty of great fights, but it didn't quite offset the dose of cringe that they (and their wives/ex wives) delivered whenever a microphone was put in front of them.
