Joshua I thought wouldn't have the stomach for a real fight when things got tough. I just saw him as a hype job being fed bums until he stepped up a bit in class and was exposed. Before Wlad I wouldn't have believed he would get up from a decent knock down and grit out a victory. I still think he is vulnerable but I was wrong about not believing he was a real fighter. Haye I thought was better than he actually was. I felt he could pull of the upset against Wlad with his speed and power. +1 not believed Wlad would dominate as long as he did, I thought even though he had great skills, an average fighter such as Peter would clip him at some point. Impressive, what he did.
Manny Pacquiao for me. I always said his stance was poor - always out of position to punch - poor defense - wide open for a counter, couldn't throw a right hand correctly and kept waiting for his punch to disappear as he progressed through the weight classes. Well...blew that one!
Good call. He could really fight. I remember he even gave KT a tough bout that came down to the wire.
You were not alone in that camp. Rosario looked like he could've been an all time great. I do remember being happy to see him destroy Bramble. He also later on came to Sacramento and I got to personally see him upset Loreto Garcia who was a pretty good boxer at `140 lbs. His power was no joke.
That would have been awesome seeing him live. From memory he was thought to be pretty shot and Garcia was the fave. Power served him well in that one.
Think of all those years of simply the best it would have saved us watching! Blast that nigel Benn for not knocking Eubank out of the f....ing ring..
Still surprised that Hector won that fight against Bernard. My choice would be Dwight Muhammad Qawi. Thought the initial Saad win was a fluke, but he won the rematch, and a couple of defenses thrown in. Lost to Spinks, but won the cruiserweight belt, and lost to Holyfield in a war.
