In my time… Mayweather I didn’t want to see his record blemished I was quite protective of the history made in my era lol against McGregor I didn’t know much about it, I was stressed Connor would get a lucky shot if you could believe it.

Ruslan Provodnikov had a short career where every fight was a war and due to a very brave corner, he was allowed to battle on with heavily damaged eyes. I was very happy when he retired because I could envision some mortal damage down the line with his style.

Yep. I’m not necessarily a fan of Roy’s but I, like many, didn’t need to see those frighteningly brutal KO losses later in his career.

I can only wish/hope that there isn’t significant damage from those KOs that presents itself in the form of serious physical issues for Roy in his later life.

Ali, Duran, Leonard, Norton, unfortunatley it is a very long list of faded fighters you felt relieved when they finally gave up.

I also was very relieved when Wlad left, because finally the "Snoozefest Wonder" was gone.

Fairweather is a weird case to rme.
I was angry how the little SOB got away with his padded 50-0, but at the same way I was glad he was gone with his TBE circus,
However, after watching so many empoveriched fighters staying for too long in the ring, I couldn't help myself but feeling some admiration for a hustler like gayweather who left the game on his own terms: dirty rich and with his marbles intact.

Another that I was relieved that the person retired was Daniel Zaragoza,he legit could've been severely punch drunk by now if he continued after that Morales fight, most of his big, title fights were bloody wars.
