That's because it is not a forgone conclusion.

For one, Pavlik is a bigger guy, highly unlikely to be a middleweight during Hagler's era with different weigh-in procedures.

Second, Hagler was first and foremost a patient boxer-puncher who broke guys down over the long haul. Pavlik isn't the skilled outside boxer that Hearns is, so Hagler can fight him in his usual manner instead of launching his balls-to-the-wall approach that he did in that fight.

 

Nuthuggers don't make me dislike fighters, they just make it fun to start threads criticizing or bashing fighters because the fanboys take it so sensitively. Like you're making fun of THEM or their family members.

 

Don't care about the fans of particular fighters. Sure, certain fans can get annoying, but what I find most annoying are the haters of a certain fighter. That's usually worse. Regardless, I can't blame a fighter for their fans. Disliking a fighter because of irritating people that the fighter doesn't know is a pretty lame thing to do.

 

I don't let nuthuggers decide for me who I like and dislike.

Hatton fans pissed me the **** off. I'm glad floyd brought them and him down back to earth. And then the EXCUSES! Now Calaghze~~ ugh! and Cotto fans ah! I would say floyd fans too but their fighters always get hated on. And Wlad is a walking china chin waiting to be cracked again. And last but not least, the old school fighters nut huggers! they think no modern fighter will ever "beat" SRL, Duran, Hagler, ALi, SRR" I can understand SRR but the other THREE have flaws up the ass!

 

I've derived immeasurable joy from hating Ricky Hatton since his low blow of Tszyu. It was simply awesome to see him lying prostate in Las Vegas. Listening to Hatton and his butt buddies cry about Cortez is icing on the cake.

 

you know I would probably be more than happy to watch Tarver win if it weren't for a certain poster who's alias now escapes me....but I remember enjoying his victories over Jones but by the time he got to the hopkins fight I hated Tarver so much because I had to listen to so much BS

 

Joe Calzaghe. I hate hearing his nuthuggers completely overrate him.
