    Live from Laredo, TX.

This card is headlined by a pair of American Boxing Federation title bouts, and is being streamed on FaceBook courtesy of ABF supervisor Clare Burke (a friend of mine on FB) personally on her page. Hey...it beats no live boxing on a Friday night, doesn't it? :deal:

Ramos walking the much smaller Molina Vázquez down, rolling long jabs over the back and top of the skull. Molina Vázquez is weaving his way in, switching orthodox to southpaw and hooking up top with his lead hand, whichever it happens to be any given moment. Ramos countering him pretty easily. Molina Vázquez is gutsy but not very fluid or clever. Ramos well in control after 2.

    Round 3

Ramos is catching some wild overhands from Molina Vázquez, turning himself in corkscrew fashion above the waist and wrapping his elbows protectively around his midsection while simply tilting his lengthy neck away to keep his chin in the clear. Some messy scrabbling flurries inside by Molina Vázquez, starting out with shoeshines beneath the guard but then attempting to parlay into rough clinches, but Ramos is jabbing him in the face, ducking and swiveling outside behind a curled left arm, then popping a counter right into the face. Molina Vázquez is hurt and Ramos begins to slash down on him with right hands, pinning him on the ropes. Jabs, chopping rights and body shots from Ramos, overwhelming Molina Vázquez, who starts to wilt but doesn't go down. Ref steps in to wave it off.

    TKO3!!

El Perico Amigon is a hard-nosed and crafty Mexican southpaw battler, comes in with a 6-12 (3) record but Clare Burke says he's the sort that proves you can't always judge a book in this sport by a superficial glance at the cover. All but a few of his contests have been against prospects, he usually nicks a round or two, and his only couple of stoppage losses were (I believe) corner retirements via injury..

Castaneda looks pretty damn good tbh..

Quick and powerful, compact puncher, throws smoothly in combination, big & tall & rangy for the weight, only concern is his defense but he's still early days. 12-1 (11), got stopped in his biggest step up to date against Randy Moreno Garcia Ochoa for the WBC Intercontinental Youth title..

3rd-6th were Castaneda's, but he's starting to square up and walk into firefights unprepared in the seventh, looking gassed. Amigon is also heaving, but smells blood in the water, putting shots together in bunches, and manages to strap a big left hand across the chin that sends Castaneda scrambling backward just before the bell...

    10-9 Amigon

Missed the first 2 because the stream only began after they were over. Assuming they went the house prospect's way, now ought to be 69-64 Castaneda.

Uh...so Clare interrupted the live broadcast (which she's providing on her phone) as she needs to go be present in the ring to award the winner their new ABF belt... so, we don't get to see the scorecards read I guess. Or know what the result was.
