lateral movement, dont be afraid to move around but dont back up unnecessarily far. Your going to have to bo and weave to get under his arms and one you do put your head on his chest, preferably get him to the ropes and cut the ring off. Once your head is on his chest he cant really hit you, then try hooks to the body to lower his guard then try to pivot to your right and throw a straight right. tactics like this might be able to head, its what I did against a sparring partner who had about 5 inches on me in reach and height.
good lateral movement and take away his jab by throwing your own, or countering to the body....once he gets gassed his hands will drop and it will be easier to land to the head. Im only 5'6 or 5'6" and Ive sparred guys with 5 or 6 inches on me and Id make my way inside, pivot and punch. Counterpunching is the key. and Just cause you are short doesnt mean you have to fight on the inside. Watch Whitaker, Niccolino Loche, Chiquita Gonzalez, etc. Short fighters with skills to take away physical " advantages" Their arms are long so on the inside they dont have as much power. Work body shots and uppercuts, they wont see them coming.
