Lets put a contest between top 10 best fighters in a particular decade
.... each fighter as a representative of different division
    - against best fighters from other decade

... which decade would be overall the strongest?

For example my team of the current decade (2000-2009):

1 Wlad Klitchko HW (I think peak Lewis belongs more to 1990-1999).
    2 David Haye (200lb +HW)
3 Roy Jones Jr (175lb and HW)
    4 Joe Calzaghe (168lb + 175)
    5 Bernard Hopkins (160lb +175)
    6 Floyd Mayweather (147lb + multidivisions 130 - 154)
    7 Hatton (140lb + 147)
    8 PAC (multidivision 122lb - 147lb)
    9 Marquez (multidivision 126lb-135lb)
    10 Barrera (multidivision 122lb-130lb)

    Yeah pretty good.

I think you HAVE to put Lewis in over Wlad at HW though. A past prime-lewis is still a lot better than Wlad IMO.

    2-5 spot on

6-7-8 - I'd move Mayweather down to 140 instead of Hatton, have either Oscar or Tito at 147 and have Mosley at 135.

Oh yeah and have either Winky or Vargas at 154

    8-9-10 - Marquez at 130, Pacquiao at 126, Barrera at 122.

    So my final list is

    1. Lennox Lewis (HW)
    2. David Haye (CW)
    3. Roy Jones JR (LHW)
    4. Joe Calzaghe (SMW)
    5. Bernard Hopkins (MW)
    6. Winky (LMW)
    7. Tito (WW)
    8. PBF (LWW)
    9. Mosley (LW)
    10. Marquez (SFW)
    11. Pacquiao (FW)
    12. Barrera (SB)

Obviously you can make a few changes like have vargas in at lmw instead of winky, switching marquez and pacman around at the lower weights, maybe have kosta in at 140 ? Or Oscar instead of Tito at 147

But its a pretty solid list.

    !EDIT!

Sorry I didnt read only 10 fighters allowed, my mistake. Yeah good list :)

I think Tito better wins belong to later 90'thies. Mosley have plenty
loses after 2000 while before 2000 he basically been unbeaten at 135lb.

Anyway, does anybody can set up team from different decade
who would beat the best fighters in the current times?
I think the guys from 90ties would have decent chance:

    Holyfield/Lewis HW vs Wlad
    Gomez (200lb) vs Haye
    Michalczewski (175 +200) vs Jones
Jones Jr (160-175) vs Calzaghe / Hopkins (but not Hopkins before 2000)
    Toney (160 - 168/175) vs Hopkins
Trinidad (147) vs Mayweather at 147
    DLH (multidivision 135-147) vs Maywether
    Chavez (140+147) vs Hatton
    Whitaker (135-147) vs Hatton/Mayweather
    Mosley (135) vs PAC/Maywether/Marquez at 135
Hamed (122-126) vs PAC/Marquez/Barrera (but Hamed version before 2000) at 122/126
