How do these two fighters stack up against the Pinoy Legends??

A poster from the general forum basically said that these two fighters couldnt touch the Filipino fighters..

    Is this true? :huh

Depends what you are looking for.Overall greatness or head to head prowess./

I tend to favour harada and Chang over Pac, Elorde and co. for the latter, but the former is more debatable depending on criteria, especially as someone like is far more dedicated than Harada and Chang were, though not as talented imo. It's also quite tough to compare fighters from different weightclasses.

Harda and Pac would easily defeat Chang. Chang was a flyweight.

    No ****.

I was talking in the usual hypothetical p4p sense, though Chang would butcher the young pre-prime pac that fought at Flyweight.

And harada was a flyweight too, one who ate himself right up to featherweight.

I have seen Jung Koo chang before. He was flashy, quick and defensive for sure, BUT he could not punch hard as a flyweight.

Let us talk styles here. A skilled attack oriented fighter would walk through Chang's shoe shine combinations. I think Pac or Harda would break Chang down. IMO, Chang matches up better vs boxer types.

That's all well and good, but the initial post i responded to was about you misunderstanding what i was meaning by saying i like harada and Chang better on head to head or peak ability level if you like.

And Chang was a pretty solid puncher.Hit more than hard enough to gain respect when combined with his other attributes.Certainly not a shoe-shiner.Myung woo yuh was more in that regard, as he went for sheer volume rather than turning his shots over a lot of the time.

Harada would destroy a young Pacquiao, but the Manny we are seeing right now is quite comfortably comparable to Harada in my view, I would argue superior.

Overall comparable Mcgrain, i agree and he has advantages in certain areas like longevity and consistency, but i can't imagine harada at his best being neck and neck with a marquez level guy, even the past his prime Jofre was a significant notch up from Juan manuel imo.Kingpetch about on par, with far more physical advantages relative to the weight and was handled with ease.Pac does have his demoliton of Barrera, but i tend to see that fight as a bit of a honeyghan curry ambushing and shudder to think what harada would have done to him, whereas i can't see pac beating Jofre at all, nor kingpetch in the manner harada did.

I tend to think at his best Harada was just a better fighter.Certainly the one that fought Kingpetch was one of the very best Flyweights ever head to head.Arguably the best.

All things considered i can see how some would rate Pac higher, but he's not a harada level talent imo.

Chang is quite similar imo, though i do thnk Manny has accomplished more than him.Chang's early burning out and lack of dedication(which lead to some dire performances like the torres rematch and isidro perez) are ddraw backs for sure, but again he's oen of the best Flyweights ever head to head and was at least on par at his best weight with any of the manny incarnations imo.

Harada would beat Pac from fly to superbantam..quite easily I feel.

At the moment I think Harada is the greater fighter but its pretty close now and I see a decisive win over Hatton changing this.
