Russell... A 4" difference between Harada and Fenech in height, and both guys were definate 15 rounders. At sB/W Fenech has an advantage in weight. A 24 hour weigh-in would be his best advantage. A weight gain of 4-6 pounds would be guaranteed for Jeff. Purely fluid based. Harada would gain through his tree-trunk legs at sB/W, gaining a better ability to absorb the push-and-shove style of Jeff... Fenech liked to toss his oponents around.. That wouldn't happen with Harada. The goods Jeff had over 15 rounds remain pretty impressive.. Steve McRory was felled by Fenech's bull-ish strength.. in 14 rounds??? If the day was right for both, Harada and Fenech, the brutal nature of both would be shown in physical stamina... both equal.. and the ability to sustain activity...both equal again. Therfore, the final test comes down to a physical limitation.... Fenechs hands would leave him midway through the bout... as usual. Harada would seize the moment. Taking all, and returning serve via better placed punches.. on the inside, and continuing to push forward. Harada by 3 rounds points advantage... or late KO.
He didn't "dominate" Jofre, he did enough to win two close decisions in his homeland in ugly, hard-to-score fights. Nor did he dominate Joe Medel in their rematch (after Medel had KO'd him in their first fight), instead showing a lot of respect for Medel's power and being just slightly busier in another close, hard-to-score fight. However, I would say Harada was himself dominated when Lionel Rose took his title from him, who owed a large part of his success to body punching. In fighting Fenech here, Harada would be going up yet another weight class to 122, where Jeff was at his peak. Harada was probably at his peak at the equivalent of jr. bantam.
I honestly do think however that Harada would win at bantam...At 122 its close but I give the advantage to Jeff..At 126 its not so close.
