James Toney was a master at fighting with his back on the ropes and so was Ali v Foreman but who was the best ever?

    Wilfred Benitez

Watch his bout against Maurice Hope, a strong champion.

There`s great highlights of Hearns v Benitez that features Wilfredo dodging around 8 punches in a row from Hearns while pinned in the corner, brilliant reflexes.

Benitez couldn't effectively counter in that bout, though.

Yes his reach was too short, Tommy`s straight right was so had to counter for some fighters because of the range he stayed at while throwing.
