I'm starting this thread in response to the "who would you like to see lose in 09" thread. Let's see a bit more positive approach. This is not about prediction or analysis. It's about fights and results that would make ya happy! Adamek/Cunningham II. Tomasz; I can't help but like a good brawler. Cotto/Margarito II. Cotto wins and we get a rubber match. Williams/Wright. Winky wins and looks good doing it. Sets up Pavlik/Wright. Pavlik/Winky. This fight has been a long time coming. Pavlik stops Winky in 10. Pavlik/Abraham. Pavlik KO8 Abraham. 160 is so weak that establising any kind of legacy in the division would be damn hard. KO wins over Taylor, Winky, and AA would give Kelly some braggin rights.
You think Pavlik stops these guys? No chance. If Winky beats Williams he would school Pavlik. If he loses but gets a good workout, he still has a chance of beating Pavlik, but would certainly last the distance. He has a very good chin and a great defence, Pavlik doesn't have enough to stop him. Not many, if any, fighters do. Abraham is like Winky in a defensive sense, water-tight guard and a cast iron chin behind it, even better than Winky's. No way does Pavlik stop him, certainly not a clean KO.
Thanks for sharing. Now shut the **** up. If your reading comprehension is so poor that you think your response fits the theme of this thread, go get your GED.
Abraham KO Sturm in 6 after schooling him till then... Abraham to stop Pavlik in any round... Williams to win a close decision vs. Winky mostly based on his workrate... Abraham KO Williams: AA to wait for the then biggest name in US boxing and stop him - just sweet to see a boxer, who was trained and studied the game in Germany to be its most accomplished star right after Max Schmeling...
For the purpose of legacy Pavlik/Sturm or AA/Sturm BEFORE Pavlik/Abraham would be a good idea. I doubt if Felix ever fights either guy.
Why encourage people to share their opinion if your going to go into a ****ing hissy-fit when people disagree? Anyway, I'd like to see JuanMa step up a bit next year. After taking up DPDL, he's taken a bit of a backward step, looking content to defend his belt and wait for an opportunity while continuing to learn. If he can keep call and not get drawn into a slugfest, he has a chance against either Vazquez or Marquez. I'd like to see him in with either of those two. I'd also like to see Pavlik-Abraham like yourself, Hatton-Pacman obviously which looks likely, and the winner of that fight against Mayweather late in '09. Also like yourself the Cotto-Margo rematch, wouldn't mind seeing JMM against Campbell. Haye vs either Klitschko, Donaire vs Montiel - which looks likely - and Calzaghe Dawson are also fights I'd like to see.
No, I have no problem with this. He learned boxing in Germany and therefore he's a German-style boxer. And he sees himself as both an Armenian and a grateful citizen of Germany - so both Armenians and Germans are happy...
the thread specifically says NOT AN ANALYSIS...but what u would like to happen...and u respiond by saying he is wrong lol
Pavlik / AA: AA by KO between rd. 6 and 9. After the fight he moves up to SMW and fights Kessler at the end of 2009. Kessler / AA: AA stops Kessler in the last quarter of the fight... Hopkins / Calz: Hopkins outboxes Joe in his backyard. Wlad / Haye: Wlad by KO in the first five rounds.
