I'm not really into unbeaten records and like most fans, think that they lead to a lot of safe matchmaking and are generally bad for the sport. However it occured to me that in November and December we've got 2 fights between unbeaten fighters. Calzaghe (43-0) v Kessler (39-0) = Total 82-0 Mayweather (38-0) v Hatton (43-0) = Total 81-0 Can anyone think of fights with bigger combined unbeaten records? Edit: Actually I've just found one: Chavez (83-0) v Marty Jabukowski (37-0) = Total 120-0 Any more fights with big unbeaten records?
I can't think of any with more combined wins but here's a quick list of fights between unbeaten fighters: Mosley-Holiday - 54-0 Trinidad-Carr - 56-0 Ali-Frazier I - 57-0 De La Hoya-Gonzalez - 63-0 Tyson-Tucker - 65-0 Tyson-Spinks - 65-0 Frazier-Foreman - 66-0 Trinidad-De La Hoya - 66-0 Mosley-Forrest 71-0 Holmes-Spinks - 75-0 Trinidad-Campas - 79-0
Nice work fellas. 2007 has been pretty good for getting big fights made, especially for British boxers.
ahhh you guys are forgetting the most important heavyweight fight of the year: Chagaev 23-0 vs Ibragimov 21-0
