Run them Down.... I'll start off with.....

Kelly Pavlik - Paul Williams: This fight was so damn close to being made. They had the press conference and everything. i've heard rumors that Bob Arum totally derailed it. I dunno how true that is but would have been a classic for sure.

Andre Berto - Miguel Cotto: never was really discussed but it was something I personally wanted. Thought it would be FOTY status.

Miguel Cotto - Oscal De La Hoya: if cotto beat margarito this would have happened for sure. Cotto was already dropping seeds for a PR vs Mexico holiday. He didn't want to fight margarito for financial reasons. Makes sense honestly.

Yuriorkis Gamboa vs Brandon Rios: At one point I think this fight was really close to happening. I wanted it bad for gamboa but i don't know what.

Bernard Hopkins vs Carl Froch: I don't think there was ever talk of this going down but given Hopkins advanged age froch has a chance. Prime hop takes it easy. Promotion would have been pretty good.

Floyd Mayweather vs Undefeated Miguel Cotto: I think the version of cotto we saw vs floyd was a "smarter" fighter. But the allure of 2 undefeated guys is always awesome.

Tim Bradley vs Amir Khan: This was also close but I think bradley backed out. Now I know more about both guys Khan would have and probably still would win easily.

That's all I can think about at the moment. I'm sure with you guys helping I'll remember more.

with those choices I question your passion for the sport vs you disgust for Mayweather. You seem like someone who just ahtes mayweather and not someone who watches the rest of the sport....

There's 100s of great fights without even mentioning mayweather and you just say his name a bunch..... try naming other fights. Or just don't respond like a typical hater.

    DAMN!!!

I totally forgot about Joan Guzman. I alway thought he was super nice. Didn't he get caught for steroids or something like that. Dude disappeared from teh sport pretty damn quietly.

    Wlad Klitschko vs SNV

Mayweather vs Cotto (before the Margarito loss broke him)

Mayweather vs Williams (extremely rangy high volume puncher could have proved to be a nightmare for Floyd)

Vitali Klitschko vs Haye (Vitali probably would have stopped him though)

Wlad vs Briggs (uhm maybe ten years ago this would have been fun, the fact that it's talked about now makes me sad for boxing)

Toney Vs Hopkins (love to see B-Hop box circles around stay puft)

When Pav was undefeated and his alcohol consumption issues were less overt, that fight was at a premium. (Or, as MVC would describe anything Floyd related, a mouth watering prospect)

    Good list. Here is mine:

Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Yuriorkis Gamboa - at one time, not too long ago, both guys were undefeated, had a lot of hype to be the future stars of boxing and were on a collision course. How things change....

Manny Pacquiao vs. Edwin Valero - Manny was dominant and Valero was just coming into the scene with a lot of hype surrounding his power and KO ratio. Too bad Valero ended it...

Paul Williams vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Paul was the most feared man in thee divisions at one time and could have presented Floyd with a stiff challenge. Floyd instead retired*...

Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Erik Morales - this would have been great when both guys were prime. For one reason or another it wasn'r meant to be. They both grew old and then Erik retired....

Brandon Rios vs. Victor Ortiz - both guys disliked each other and there was a lot of bad blood that would have made for a great build up and a great slugfest. The fact that both fought in different divisions didn't help. Now Victor is no longer relevant and Rios has been through too many wars

I'm sure there are more I can add but these came to mind right way...
