some people need to know what "exposed" means

Mitchell vs Banks is the only recent example I can think of

Losing to a world class/elite fighter because of a style mismatch is not getting "exposed"

If that fighter was regarded to be a "world class/elite fighter" or was hailed as a guy who could beat the best in his division, and then folds when he steps up; doesn't live up to what most thought he was.
Wouldn't you say that he had been exposed to be something different than what people believed?

    Well it depends.

Some people for example say Khan was "exposed" against Garcia

    I beg to differ.

Khan has enough good wins against Maidana, Kotelnyk, Malignaggi and Judah to prove that he is a decent fighter at world class, sure he lost to Garcia, but **** happens.

Mitchell on the other hand had beat NO decent fighters at world level, yet was being touted as the future of the division, when he is then comprehensivley beaten by a journeyman.

That's the difference, even Lucian Bute has a win over Sakio Bika that he wouldn't possess if he was a "bum"

It's a proving ground, imo the only ones who are "exposed" are the ones who had massive hype, without proving anything

    Good one.

    ---

    Viloria/Segura - power + smarts = Segura's nightmare

Donaire/Montiel - Montiel's no defense and openness to the left hook, plus look what has happened since

Froch/Bute - fighters who press and throw extended combinations can have a field day with Bute, damage can be done on his against the ropes easily, and perhaps that his competition in his career does suck and any top 5 fighter would beat him... just saying...

Banks/Mitchell - sharp power counters, and Mitchell's chinny early (although we already knew that)

    Martinez/Williams I & II - Sergio gave Lara an easy W that's for sure

Dirrell/Abraham - Arthur can't handle speed and to keep him at the end of punches

I hate the way "exposed" is used on ESB, it seems to be a standard all-in term for anyone who had a tough fight

Abril-Rios was a fight where someone got exposed as a one-dimensional brawler of limited ability.
