Definitely Wilder/Oritz. A completly 50/50 fight till the stoppage, a lot of ups and downs. Ortiz dominating the fight at the beginning, then went down in the fifth, recovers from that and was about 10-15 seconds away from taking out Wilder in the seventh while Wilder recovered from that and stopped him in the tenth round. This was one of the best HW fights in the last couple of years, coming prob directly after AJ/Wlad.
wilder ortiz wasnt, it was a weak title fight against a guy who was most likely in his forties. Ortiz dominating early was just proof that Wilder is middling, not a show of world level fighting ability. I'd go with Gass/Dorti, two titles, cracking atmosphere and two good prime fighters, even if it was a subdivision of HW. The most high profile was AJ Parker, again two titles, atmosphere, 2 prime fighters..but the fight lacked sparkle needed to call it fight of the year. Nomas Linares would be 3rd or in there depending on how you see the lower divisions, similar argument to the above.
This was a hell of a brutal back and forth highly entertaining scrap. Well worth watching. This content is protected
