Doesn't this just back up claims that Pacquiao is struggling with taxes?

Yeah poster is a fool. they dont care uh?? They fought at 10am so we can see it at regular times over here with huge press tour and everything

Dumb Thread starter, trying to make Pacquiao 300 buys sound awesome but if it was Mayweather he would have 20 threads about how he isnt a global star etc etc

What's considered important? A fight that the US care about? A fight that gets a lot of viewers? A bout with a major title?....

It's a combination that they knew the fight was trash so they made the maximum amount of revenue over in China which would be more than hosting it as a main PPV in the states where they would need to rely on the PPV and US based promotion for the cash whereas in China they had shiming on the card also.

Wanna make loads of money with a s*** card? Bob showing us how he milks his "in-house" **** card (although wasn't as bad a card as the rios one)

I would think it would sell more ppv's because people in the US can't attend the fight or host city so they have to buy it on PPV

This exactly. Op is just a fan boy plain and simple. The fight was still promoted and advertised as usual here. The freaking fight even got held in the morning in china's Vegas to accommodate AMERICANS who were being fed this ****py fight. Fight just sucked.

Manny doesn't take a big hit on his pay from taxes, so he is making about the same with out actually getting paid more. Joke of a fight, the one true winner was chris, went from living in his basement to being a millionaire, he hit the arum lottery of cherry pick.

I know that possibly hundreds of millions of people could tune in to watch Pac fight on CCTV but I thought that the advertising dollars would be **** like they are in Pac's native Phillipines. In his home country fifty million people watch his fights and then he only makes two or three million off of the commercials. Not so in China. CCTV pays out advertising revenue for it's shows comparable to the finale of American Idol in the States. It's like 200 grand for a fifteen second spot. No wonder it looked like Pac wasn't interested in knocking Algieri out and carried him to the finish.

I'm seeing info online that says he's making as much as Mayweather and then paying half the taxes.

The point is that us ppv's are not the only income stream. There had to be revenue from the fight in other countries, especially Macao and China, and that revenue is what makes the venture especially profitable.

If he wanted a cheap fight he wouldn't have had it ppv at all but on HBO boxing after dark. Also the fight was promoted vigorously. That not a sign of going on the cheap. He took a gamble and loss because the only thing that was cheap was the fight in it's content. Those ppv prices were not cheap.

If you don't have Pacman as PPV then you lose leverage in future PPV deals.

    Simple economics.

He made 300k from such a bad mismatch against a relatively unknown fighter, in a felr with country. I think that needs to be all considered
