Camacho jumped weight twice instead of fighting Chavez

In fairness, nobody outside of Mexico knew who Chavez was before he beat Mario Martinez for Camacho's vacant 130 lb title in 1984. So, it's hard to call that one avoiding Chavez. It could have been a weight issue.

But, after getting rocked by Rosario Camacho got rattled and jumped to 140 after only one more defense.

A fight between Chavez and Camacho at 135 would have been great.

As far as Camacho's chances, you're right that 1984 would have been a good time for him to fight Chavez because Chavez was still improving

I think if Chavez jumped to 135 after Camacho schooled Ramirez. it would have been a good, competitive fight too,

1992 was at least five years too late because the Camacho decline started in 1987 after the Howard Davis fight at the latest, or after the Rosario fight in 1986 at the earliest.

Julio Cesar Chavez-Frankie Randall 3 took place in May 04’, more than 9 years after it should have happened.

The first 2 bouts were in January 94’ & May 94’.

The 3rd match should have been in late 94’, or early 95’.

Aboslutely. DK made sure it didn't happen and milked Chavez for another few years.
