Thats the biggest crock of **** ever, I've got that fight on dvd and Whitaker controlled every second of that fight he even got the better of the inside fighting.

that was one of the craziest posts I've read on here :-(

    Lewis vs Holyfield 1
The actual fight was a bit boring which was probably Lennox's fault as he was wary of Holyfield when he had him hurt, unnecessarily IMO, Holyfield is dangerous but it meant he still had all the US "Lennox is a ***" fans on his back

i don't really feel like rehashing this, as it's been done so many times. however, i will say that whitaker certainly did NOT control every second of that fight. he controlled 7 or 8 rounds, his rounds being more emphatic but not 10-8 emphatic. i have it on tape, dvd and saw it live, but it's still just my opinion. there are those who share it, and many who don't. i think it is one of the most over-rated "great performances" in my twenty-odd years in the sport. regardless it's not "a crock of ****" assertion. it's just not what you see on your dvd.

Did - Every fight involving Benn, Watson and Eubank against eachother, and there was plenty of hype.

    Didn't - Hamed - Barrera, Tyson - Lewis, Hatton - Mayweather .

OK, let's take this in a case by case basis. In regards to Whitaker-Chavez, I paid A LOT of money to get some really nice seats and fly to San Antonio and party it up. My reward was a tentative fight that never really got momentum, partly because Chavez couldn't figure out a Plan B and Whitaker was content to squeak it out and not even think of risking closing the deal. Don't get me wrong, either, I had Whitaker winning. It just didn't live up to the expectations of two of the greatest fighters of their generation and after a couple rounds there was little exciting...

There is a story that a man went to get a packet of peanuts (or whatever) in the first round, and the fight was over when he got back.

Even though people expected a competitive fight, I don't think that the result disapointed people. It was dramatic if nothing else.
