The boxing commissions and Alis managers. Lets not act like Patterson had any chance against Liston, no point in postponing a losing battle.

 

But they did reschedule it, lol. So they let Liston reschedule once, and didn't let him reschedule for the second time, as it has became the pattern. Nothing wrong about that. Oh and I forgot. They let him reschedule the first Patterson fight as well. Third time's the charm.

The fight was originally set for April 4, 1963, in Miami Beach, Florida, but was changed to April 10 when Liston injured his left knee. The match was then moved to June 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada, because of a recurrence of the knee injury. The bout was postponed yet again and rescheduled for July 22 after Patterson had to have a benign tumor removed from between his fourth and fifth knuckles on his right hand.

It's a known fact, you as Sonny's biggest fan should have known that.

 

Still, this doesnt really show anything for the Ali fights. Just shows the commission knew it was a losing battle and Pattersons team wanted to hang onto the title for a few more weeks.

They didn't have the title at this point. This was before the rematch. So you can't point to a bias towards Sonny if they let him reschedule the fight twice. They just didn't let him do it for the third time, because, like... Again? Lol. Not gonna happen.

 

Gatti vs Gammache always pops in my head with this subject, the size
advantages for Gatti was that apparent . He looked like a middleweight
compared to Gammache who looked like a lightweight .
But theirs been too many to name.

No fight involving Jerry Quarry should've happened after 1975.
His last pro fight was in 1992.
ALI after 1975, especially after 1976......
Louis vs Marciano
Robinson vs Archer
Leonard (Ray) vs Norris, especially Camacho.
Benitez shouldn't have fought after Hamsho at all.
Saad Muhammed was clearly shot after the 2nd fight
with Qawi. He had become a punching bag at this time.
Yet he had close to 20 pro fights after it. (Off memory)

 

I believe Gamache suffered "minor" brain damage after that horrible knockout. Working as a trainer now. Solid boxer, lucky to win two vacant crowns but always gave his all.

Quarry´s last fight was painful, dead less than 7 years later.

Saad losing by early ko vs Eric Winbush was shocking, then taking 11 rds of abuse from hard punching Willie Edwards. Further defeats to big punchers Uriah Grant and Frankie Swindell. Too brave for his own good.
