Throughout the years we've all seen cases of fighters ducking one another. Wether it was motivated by money, dodgy promoters or even an all out hatred of the other guy. Which fights do you think should have happened but didn't? In my opinion the 2 which stand out are Sugar Ray vs Hagler and Roy Jones v B-Hop. The Hagler vs Sugar Ray fight was too close to call imo and deserved a re-match. As for Hopkins, he got much better as time went on and i think he deserved another shot at the only man to ever beat him convincingly. Thoughts?
roy jones - gerald mclellan roy jones - nigel benn kostya tszyu - mayweather bowe - lewis toney - eubank just a few.
Winky Wright vs. Oscar De La Hoya around 2005/2006. It would've greatly enhanced Winky's legacy and given him that huge pay day. Plus, DLH's best weight was at 154 which didn't make it a freak show but actually a fight that mattered.
Larry Holmes and George Foreman for the oldtimers heavyweight championship. Both fighters fought long past their primes and actually had some meaningful fights where they performed well.
Mayweather - Mosley @135 or 140 Mayweather - Cotto @147 Mayweather - Tszyu @140 Mayweather - Clottey @147 Mayweather - Williams @147 Mayweather - Cassamayor @135 Mayweather - Freitas @130 Mayweather - Forrest @154 Mayweather - Spinks @147 Mayweather - Mayorga @147 or 154
One gets the impression that this thread is just an excuse to hate on Floyd. Not a lot of those fights were ever viable - especially Mayorga
