I'm not talking about bad scorecards, I'm talking about fights where every round was competetive, but the same person ended up winning the vast majority of the close rounds. Which fights do you think were like this?
Here's a good one: Dick Tiger vs Henry Hank, despite the fact that I agree that Tiger took most of the rounds. What I mean is: every single round of the fight was fiercely competitive, usually going to Tiger on the basis of his higher out-put. One of those fights where the cards don't tell the whole story, despite the fact that the scores were hardly outlandish.
That was neither close in reality nor scored wide. It would actually be a better example of a wide fight scored close.
Ironically,if the second fight had been scored a draw,I'd have had no problem with it. Much closer than their first go,which Lennox was jobbed out of.
I was gonna say something similar, actually. Hopkins won maybe 3 rounds, those being the ones Jones coasted through having already had the fight in the bag.
