    Bruno V McCall
Would be interested to see how an extra 3 rounds of Tyson V Smith would of panned out as Tyson was hurt near the end

So having stopped it 2 seconds from the end, you think if it was 15 rounds, Steele would have let it continue at that point with 3 rounds left? Of course he wouldn't. Geez, think about it.

    -

I was gonna say Williams v Margo. Williams picked up the early rounds while Margarito was sleeping, and he came on strong towards the end and might have nicked it over 15.

Calzaghe Vs Eubank - Not saying for sure it would have been a different outcome but Eubank landed a solid uppercut on Calzaghe's chin with less than 10 seconds left and I've always wondered if the fight may have swung the way of Eubank after.

I'll admit I've only read the title of this thread but...

the whole 12 or 15 round discussion gets crazy sometimes... if there were more rounds each fighter would have trained for more rounds.

The only way it makes a difference is if all of a sudden the fight distance gets changed from 12 to 15 rounds after the fighters had already went 12 rounds. So one of the fighters was in trouble in the 12 round... "had it been a 15 rounder he would have been stopped" people always say. It's bull****!

-Had that same fight been a 15 rounder from the get go.. both fighters would have trained for it and the fighter who was in trouble in the 12th round... would probably not be in that kind of trouble until the 15th round. Make sense? I hope so!

Good call. I think McCall would have stopped Bruno in the 13th or 14th.

...even Chavez vs. Taylor... Chavez probably wouldn't have had Taylor in that kind of trouble until the end of the 15th round. Duva and Benton would have developed a fight plan with 15 rounds in mind.

Calzaghe was absolutely exhausted for sure. Eubank was pretty tired too. It would have been torture for Calzaghe, but I think he would have held on for a similar result.

Plus, he would have paced himself for 15 rounds so I see the same result.

You're very wrong there my friend. If the fighters that lost were coming on strong in the 12th, imagine how they would be in a 15rd fight. Kind of makes no difference because you will still have your work horses, and you will have the guys that barely get by.

Ward/Kessler - Kessler was on a roll and would have stopped Ward in the next round.

Dawson/Adamek - Adamek was behind on points, but Dawson was ready to go.

Chambers/Dimentrenko - Chambers had wobbly legs and would have been stopped in the next round.

Lewis/Klitschko - Lewis would have been knocked out cold within the next few rounds.

Late in the fight, Taylor was coming apart at the seams.

There is'nt a fight plan to be developed to have helped Taylor in that particular matchup.

....if you go the route to explain that Taylor would have paced himself more and thus would have had energy in the tank to fight another 3 rounds????......logic here tells you that to slow the pace of the fight slows the activity up to Chavez' pace.
To slow the pace down would mean less speed flurries by Taylor which then gives Chavez more opportunities.

That Chavez Taylor fight was fought at an even pace throughout.

Both fighters in the prime of their career, their styles meshed perfectly. 10 rounds or 20 rounds the pace would have been no different, and the result in any circumstance would have the fight ending at 2:54 of the 12 round.

....with 15 rounds, the only difference is that no one could make a case that Taylor was robbed of a victory because there would have been 3 rounds to go for Chavez to commit legal murder had their been an insane enough referee to have allowed that fight to continue at that point.
