What were some fights that you thought would have been a very exciting fight, given the styles of both fighters, but in the end turned out to be a very boring disappointing fight?

Oscar de la Hoya vs Felix Trinidad could have been a great fight (both undefeated, hard punching fighters), but it turned out to be a bore most of the time, although a nice display of Oscar's boxing skills.

Lewis Tua took the cake for me. I had a house full of people and most were all sound asleep at the end of the fight.

Carbajal-Gonzalez II & III after their first showing, although a brilliant display from Gonzalez. Also, Whitaker-Chavez. I don't know why I expected it to be exciting - perhaps because of two superstars - but what a snoozefest.

I remember Ellis-Quarry turning out a lot more lackluster than expected. Based on their previous performances in the heavyweight tourney, it figured to have plenty of action. It turned out to be more of a tactical fight - probably each fighter respectful of the other's abilities. I'll have to watch it again and see if my opinion changes.

You expected B-Hop to be involved in an exciting fight?

I expected Trinidad-DLH to be an exciting fight. Instead DLH outclassed him and won at the least 8 of the first 10 rounds, arguably 9.

Same thing with DLH-Mosley II. I thought that would be fun, but instead DLH sweeps the first 7 rounds with ease, and then EPO Mosley wins rounds 8,9, 10, and 12 as Oscar counterpunches and his activity drops.

More recently, Cotto-Margarito II. I expected that fight would be more action-packed and less one-sided. Instead Cotto outclassed Margarito and destroyed his eye and hit him at will. I loved that, since I hate Margarito and am a huge Cotto fan, but it wasn't a great fight, you know?

Everyone was expecting this epic war but the fight went more or less how I thought it would.

Diaz isn't really a brawler by trade and he was always going to be best served fighting a smart fight against Mick.

Holyfield/MoorerI was dull as was the Holyfield/Stewart rematch. And although close both times, neither of the Lewis/Holyfield fights were that exciting. Yes Norris was smart to outbox Brown in their rematch, but the fight sucked.
