Even though I'm doing alright in the predictions league this year, there's been a couple of fights in the 130lb division that I've confidently predicted one sided KO losses for British fighters.

First, Ricky Burns gets off the canvas to win the WBO title against big punching but limited Martinez. Despite only having one fight in the past year and generally having never beaten anyone approaching world class, Burns was a convincing winner on points..... the way the fight panned out you'd expect Burns to perhaps win even more convincingly should there be a rematch.

Then last night, Leva Kirakosyan was invited over to slay yet another British fighter, this time Steve Foster jr. Leva has been pretty dominant at Euro level for a few years, whilst Foster has been messing around with low level journeymen over six rounds since losing to Euro-level Alex Arthur.

So, what happens, Foster turns up in shape, obviously on top form and stops Leva in the 3rd round - suddenly there are options galore for him.

Are there any other fights, domestic or international that you've got so wrong..... particularly when logic and form backs your prediction?

Mosley vs Margarito is an obvious one..... any others?

I was sure Morris would beat Crolla. Looks like Morris didn't condition himself properly.

With the excitement of going to Vegas I got caught up in thinking Hatton might be able to beat Mayweather. I think "live underdog" was my favourite saying around that time....

I predicted Freitas vs. Juan Diaz horribly wrong. Thought there was absolute no way Juan Diaz would win since I felt Freitas was a much better boxer and devastating brawler.

At the British level, oh man. I predicted Alex Arthur vs. Nicky Cook completley wrong. I really felt AAA would blast Cook out of there within 3.

    Theres a good few.

Tito over Jones Jr. Mainly cos i was a huge Tito fan.
Mayorga over Mosely which actually turned out fairly close.
    Cotto over Paquiao.
Nate Campbell over Tim Bradley. Think it got changed to a NC but he was on the way to getting spanked.
    Jones Jr over Calzaghe.

Theres more but I cant think of them off the top of my head

Khan vs Presscott. I like many others assumed this was just another columbian road sweeper (which he was, but still shocked Khan:lol:)

    Margarito vs Mosley

    Kessler vs Ward

Big ones recently: I also though Burns and Foster would both lose, I thought Mitchell would beat Katsidis, Mosley would beat Floyd, Abraham over Dirrell, Kessler over Ward, Froch over Kessler, and Foreman over Cotto. But I'm not too bad at predicting fights overall.

Going back a few years I was convinced James Hare would beat David Barnes. I picked Cotto over Pac and Margarito. Jamie Moore over Ryan Rhodes. Thought Yuri Romanov would beat Graham Earl

Worst one for me was Mijares-Darchinyan.

Mijares was on fire at that time, and I predicted he'd bamboozle Vic so badly he'd stop him in around nine one-sided rounds.

How wrong could I be?
