I haven't been checking out the forum recently, evreyone might have noticed. I could only remember Ward-Dawson for this weekend but theres a bunch of nice fights. Lucas Matthyse vs Ajose Olusegun and Antonio DeMarco for me are pretty much toss-ups. Edison Miranda vs Tony Bellow is too, but at a lower level. Theres Bryant Jennings and Magomed Abdusalamov are fighting pretty straightforward opponents, as is Tomasz Adamak, Steve Cunningham, Vyacheslav Glazkov and J'Leon Love. Vitali Klitschko has a interesting opponent (if you consider his height and reach making it interesting). And were missing out from Devon Alexander vs Randall Bailey. Thoughts on this weekends fight? Any upsets?
Wasen't aware the White Buffalo was roaming aronud this soon. I remember seeing Pianeta fight since his draw with Sosnowski. I see he's picked up wins over Matt Skelton, Zack Page and Oliver McCall since. He was fighting guys with better records 3-4 years aho. His confidence had more confidence in his back then apparently.
Ward vs. Dawson will be a fight for purists, but the Demarco fight should be an all action affair. I agree it is a toss up. I can't imagine Matthysse in a boring fight, and think he wins this by late round TKO. Edison Miranda has taken a lot of punishment over the years. With his backstory, he is an easy guy to root for, but I hope he hangs them up soon.
Bad Chad to find a way to beat Ward. Alexander beat Bailey convincingly. Olusegun to pull off the upset. Vitali win by KO.
Bailey pulled out with back issues unfortuantly. Although I do think he would have won. Interestingly I think his more aggressive style (which he used aganist Maidana) would put him at a greater risk aganist Bailey and he would perhaps rely on his safety first style more.
Ward to defeat Dawson. Ajose Olusegun to defeat Matthyse clear either wide points victory or late stoppage.
