Calzaghe's would of been Eubank surely, he'd never been past 8 rounds

Well it would've been if you had good enough boxing eyes...;)

Nah, seriously though i can see why that wouldn't have jumped out at people. Miranda fights like a neanderthal after all.

But it was just the subtle things that he was doing which impressed me immensely, i hadn't seen some of the stuff he was doing in years. Like handcuffing, blindfolding with the jab, pivoting on the turn etc.

I loved the way he treated Miranda. Edison thought he saw a ghost or something with the different look Ward was showing him. For me personally that is when i was fully sold.

I thought the Kessler fight would be a picnic after watching that.

Chris was considerably old and it was like a lamb to the slaughter IMO.

He didn't really step up in class until Lacy

I'd stand by the Taylor fight on the "World stage" personally.

  5. I'd say Taylor too.

Nobody really knew if Pascal was any good until afterwards, even then it was quite a while afterwards..... probably when he beat Sad Chad.

The rest of his ''world level'' wins were over men with questionable credentials, like Diaconu.

Eh? The fact it's not that great a win is that Eubank had short notice and was preparing to fight at Cruiser and had to make a drastic cut, and still had two big efforts left in him against Carl the Cat.

Past his best? For sure. But 'lamb to the slaughter'? No way (and Eubank was never that) and down the stretch the fight showed that.

Calzaghe had fought no-1 near the caliber of Eubank, at the time must of been seen as a big step up

It was a massive step. Only reason Eubank took the fight after Collins pulled out was because he thought he'd win comfortably.

Donaire/Darchinyan...Nonito was virtually unknown, Vic was big news atm and Donaire sparked him.

Sergio Martinez...Bunema was his first fight on HBO and Kellerman/Lampley were wanking over him after that. But actually it was a 'loss' that really brought him to boxing fans attentions - the first Paul Williams fight. He was a massive underdog going into that, had took the fight on short notice and Williams still had that aura about him despite the Quintana loss.

And for Paul Williams it was Antonio Margarito.

For those paying attention they would have know that Miranda except his power, is shite, and a UD against a man who had been knocked out in 4 and 6 rounds prior is no big arrival onto the world scene.
