Fights were one judge had his head up his ass ?

    There have been numerous bad decisions & they have been well highlighted over the yrs but what about the ones were the decision went to the right man but one judge had his head up his ass ?

    Here is a few off the top of my head....

    Ali-Spinks I (I love Ali but 1 judge should have been shot for giving Ali this fight, the other 2 got it right)

    Hearns-Benitez (1 judge had it even, the other 2 rightly had it wide for Hearns)

    Collins-Eubank II (1 judge actually gave that fight to Eubank, thankfully the other 2 were watching the fight)

    Ali-Norton I (1 crack smoker had Ali a winner, the other 2 called correctly)

    One judge had Benn winning his Malinga rematch.

    Sadly for Sugarboy one judge (the ref) had Benn wining the first fight, and he was the sole judge.

    Tyson vs Douglas - 1 judge had Tyson up and another had it a draw.

    How bout Holy-Lewis II. Close fight scored like it wasn't.

    More than one judge had his head up his ass in Lewis-Holyfield 1 and Douglas-Tyson. There were two idiots in those fights, and the third guy in Lewis-Holyfield 1 had it closer than it really was.

    Tommy Kaczmarek's 115-113 card for De La Hoya over Mayweather.
    Duane Ford having Moorer only ahead 86-85 after 9 against Foreman (Ford also gave Taylor the 12th round against Hopkins in the first fight, which was the difference between a draw and win for Taylor).
    Keith MacDonald having De La Hoya beating Hopkins 77-75 after 8.

    That one was bad. I see no way any reasonable observer could have given Oscar more than 5 rounds, TOPS. I thought the rounds were pretty easy to score in that one.

    I also thought the judge who had Calzaghe winning 9 rounds against Hopkins was watching a different fight.

    On a less significant scale, I thought the two judges that gave Ruiz 9 rounds against Golota was way off target.

    Those are the ones that jump to mind at the moment.

    I seem to recall an awful lot of shoddy scoring on various under cards over the years.

    Holmes vs. Spinks II Holmes clearly won


    De La Hoya vs. Sturm How did Oscar pull this one out?

    De La Hoya vs. Trinidad Oscar won this fight and probably the same for

    De La Hoya vs. Mosley II

    Oquendo vs. Bryd Fres had this one in the bag and Chris knew it.

    I forget what the scorecards were in this one, but I thought this was a clear win for Larry. I actually thought Larry pulled it off in their first fight, too, but I thought the rematch was much more decisive.

    I wonder what Holmes would have gone on to do had he been awarded the victory after that one?

    Any speculation?

    The first two I totally agree with, and I did score Oquendo-Byrd for Oquendo, but I thought that could have gone either way.

    I did score Mosley-DLH in favor of Mosley, 115-113.

    I never personally found that one as "controversial" as many claim.

    Ali said he felt he lost the fight in a post fight press conference.

    Have to love how fighters like Norton suffered because of the Ali gravy train.
