Argument is either you haven't watched that fight or your perception of sweet science is clinching with regards to what Rigo did in that fight. If the question was "Name a fight where both fighters were known to be operators of sweet science" then Loma vs Rigo would be a proper example. But that's not how that fight played out. There was no sweet science in that fight, at all.
So as not to repeat some of the other fights already mentioned (which are good picks), I submit to you James Toney vs. Michael Nunn, the head movement, footwork and combination punching on display in that fight was amazing. I'd say another excellent sweet science on display fight would be Timothy Bradley vs. Lamont Peterson, truly a great fight.
Besides the ones that have already been mentioned: Ezzard Charles vs Harold Johnson Harold Johnson vs Willie Pastrano Masao Obha vs Betulio Gonzalez Jose Napoles vs Hedgeman Lewis 1 Howard Davis Jr vs Villomar Fernandez Miguel Lora vs Alberto Davila 2 Alberto Davila vs Lupe Pintor 2 Marvin Hagler vs Roberto Duran Mike McCallum vs Sumbu Kalambay 2 Mike McCallum vs Donald Curry Pernell Whitaker vs Buddy McGirt 1 Donald Curry vs Marlon Starling 2 Orlando Canizales vs Junior Jones Pacquiao vs JMM 2 JMM vs Casamayor Johnny Tapia vs Danny Romero The most recent great chess match: Estrada vs SSR Lomachenko vs Linares GGG vs Canelo 2 Donnie Nietes vs Kazuto Ioka Jermall Charlo vs Julian Williams
That's a scary thought, someone having more mental fortitude than Jirov after the training he has been through.
Floyd and cotto aren't equal from a technical standpoint. FLoyd's arguably one of the 5 best technical fighter in the history of the sport. He implemented a weird game plan as he sometimes does in fights and decided to stand in the pocket a lot more than he usually did at 147 or 154. If he fought off his backfoot and stayed in perpetual motion, which he could've easily employed, it would've been a shutout victory. I like MIguel too, thought he was a great 140 lb fighter but there's levels to this. Even with the style Floyd implemented that night, that fight wasn't competitive at all. A bloody nose doesn't make a fight competitive; Cotto won 3 rounds at the very most.
JLC vs Corrales - very high level of skillful inside fighting. Both fighters were using setup shots, smart pressure and superb counter work.
Cotto is fine technician and he made Floyd fight for that win. Floyd was getting countered more than he was countering which made him become the aggressor. Floyd is great at what he does but Cotto had his number in this fight in my opinion until he gassed. He did far better than any had against Mayweather after Castillo and before Maidana. Way better than Manny Pacquiao's snore fest with him. Cotto doesn't get the respect he deserves as an elite fighter and he always brings out the best in his opponents or he destroys them. He was beating the dust out of Margarito, Mayweather, and Pacquiao before they all turned the fight around and he fought EVERYONE IN THEIR PRIME *(except Martinez of course).
So you just confirmed you don’t know the sweet science. If you think Rigo was just clinching you missed almost everything he was doing. He negated some of Lomachenko’s best moves. That fight was the blueprint for how someone could beat Loma, Rigo just didn’t have the offence and reflexes as an older man to take the next step.
