A simply sumptuous masterclass of the fistic art, if I don't mind saying so myself. A veritable smorgasbord of the sweet science which will never be equalled, let alone bettered. :sisi1

Another good example of this from way back would be smooth scientist Eder Jofre losing to the rugged pressure of Fighting Harada.

    Indeed it was.

Rigo said 'No Mas', so HE knew it wasn't working - you know, the man in the ring. You can argue tactics may have been a potential winning strategy even in a fight ultimately lost, if it's concluded by a KO or goes to the cards and is close. But if the combatant quits, the game plan was ineffective.

It's not as if Rigo isn't an elite talent and he's looked decent in his fights since his tactics failed against Loma....

Boy, that fight turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I had Winky winning by a point, but for whatever reason he put on the brakes 12th round, which I scored for JT making it a draw.

2 great jabbers who used it differently. "Winky had the guard, but I bust right through it" --Jermaine Taylor post fight.

Would you rate Marquez-Vazquez as such? Both complemented each other so well, it seemed they had to turn the sweet science into a war of attrition.
